Just wondering is there anyone interested in headed over this summer?
More than likely if I'm going it won't be till the end of the summer but I might be able to do earlier depending on dates..

I went last year and didn't get sick. Pumpkin on the other hand, got the bug twice. Once when he pretended to have it and missed a days paddling, then a few days later when he actually got it. He received no sympathy for the second one.

I think flooding has a huge impact on it, on the basis that no one escaped it at Halloween, including Barry and Andrew who'd been "immune" before

Lets not forget the oil spill the day I recovered from pretending to be sick... 3 days out from paddling on what was initially planned to be a week long holiday :L. I secretly planned for us all to miss our flights just to make up for those 3 days!

I'm sure loads of people want to go with ye now lads.

It's a great trip, and good for anyone who has a decent roll. For those who don't know, it's an artificial whitewater course, which means it runs all of the time, and it's got decent freestyle features on it. A group from NUIG seems to head over every summer, and always has a great time and come back much improved because of it.

The references to puking are because of a 24 hour bug which I think we refered to as the 'on the floor' bug, cause it left you so drained and fatigued you wern't really good for anything other than lying there... The bug seems to be common enough that anyone who visits seems to get it once while they are there

I've been to Nottingham 4 times twice for a week. It wasn't till the last time where we weren't drinking much that I got it for 6 hours. Moral of the story drink some booze each night to kill the bug.

Yep, I had intended on going to the Student Rodeo, but Rag week took over :P

I'm going to book tickets for the end of July next week, haven't pin-pointed the dates yet. Let me know if you're interested in going.

If going on the 23rd of August, (which could be a very possible date!), Why limit it to Nottingham, is there any other rivers round the place to run?
Also in that case would ferry be a cheaper option then plane?!
