Camping Equipment Inventory 2010

Postby rlynch » Fri Feb 26, 2010 3:26 pm

Gavin and I had a look at what was in the Kingfisher locker today:

• 1 folding table
• 2 gas cookers
• 2 gas canisters (each about half full)
• 1 camping kettle
• 3 small saucepans
• 3 small frying pans
• 2 woks
• 1 colander
• 3 plastic chopping boards
• 1 large plastic spoon
• 1 wooden spoon
• 1 large knife
• 1 small knife
• 2 small plastic bowls
• 2 large plastic bowls
• 1 extra large bowl
• 4 plates
• 1 corkscrew
• Misc cutlery
• 12 bungee cords

Apparently there is another folding table floating around somewhere?

Stuff that I think we need:

• 2 gas lanterns (did these die last year?)
• 2 or 3 large tarps
• Large pots

If anyone has any other suggestions for items that we need can you make them here or contact me otherwise in the next couple of weeks?

Thanks,
Ross
We would leave home in the morning and could play all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No one was able to reach us and no one minded!

Conor found some tarps in the coffin up the front of the shed.
Dont know what condition they are in.

Everyone last year pretty much bought tarps, shouldnt be too hard to round up and borrow a few.

Maybe it was just me but I thought the battery powerd lamp was better for light, and didnt burn or smash.

If theres more going this year, then another cooker prob wouldnt go astray

Not quite like that. There is a black plastic one.

Those black ones were crap werent they? Didn't we need 2 to lift s pot once it was full? And they didnt grip properly??

Why not get some proper pots with the handles that turn to 90deg for easy storage?

Feck easy storage, 2 normal big pots is all thats needed. They work better than any of that fancy camping gear and its a hell of a lot cheaper. At no time is space an issue for the club when it comes to its camping gear.

Yep. And one big one for cooking pasta, potatoes and so on. It was hassle with the small pots last year. Oh and yes those handles were useless rob.

It looks like I have a couple of big articulated lorry covers for us free to use as tarps. I'm not sure exactly on size but they sound big! Apparently they aren't too heavy or light either. One giant tarp city!
If anyone has ideas of what to get to hold it up apart from buying proper poles let me know.
