gear to consider getting??

Postby Grassey » Tue Jan 26, 2010 9:56 am

Anyone have any thoughts on gear we didn't have last year and should consider bringing/buying/acquiring for this year?

i think the club should look into getting those injury cards seanie had at least 1per group.

and what are peoples thoughts for getting an electric cool box for keeping dairy and meat in?

bring jumpleads in the van because you never know...

I have an electric fridge with a carry handle. Not very big, but I guess it doesn't need to be.
And Jumpleads.
And a big invertor.

Bags first go of your electric pump though.

Cool box is a good idea.

Also something to keep the food/cutlery more organised...?
it was just a load of bags with ants all over last year.

Better handles for the pots!
the ones we have are awful!

What's an injury card?
Do you mean something like waterproof flash cards for first aid?

thats the one JK

Seanie has a set, American Whitewater ones.

They were pretty good in the hospital to explain a dislocated shoulder when only Annie had a bit of Italian, and was delerious with pain singing Christmas carols in a wheelchair.

I have a set of those cards too.

Re. the pots: my sister is a chef and says if we can tell her what size diameter we want she'll check with the wholesalers for heavy-duty stuff.
We would leave home in the morning and could play all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No one was able to reach us and no one minded!

I've had a look for those cards before and can never seem to find them.
An alternative suggested at the last FA course I did was print one off on paper (you'll find a template online) and then laminate it. You can then just use a waterproof notepad which are much easier to find to take everything down.
