Buckfast

Postby j.odowd5 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 8:56 pm

Excuse the clickbait but now that I have your attention,

Doing Camp USA in the summer and I wanna have crammed as much experience in as possible so would really appreciate a few extra days if the weather is decent and people are up for it.

Also, regrettably I've missed all the rolling sessions over the weeks, will there be anymore on the Tuesday? Rolling is at the top of my list to be able to do before I go.

Thanks,
Jack :D

Go to the pool session tonight or next week and take out a polo boat. Then grab someone who knows how to roll and have them help you get the movement down. Most of us learnt by getting an instructor to show us how to go about it and troubleshoot a bit then just practice over and over again until we got it.

Not too sure yet, got two offers. Camp Carolina was one but they're big into kayaking and I think they're looking for more experience and the other one is Sandy Hill which seems to be more flat water kayaking. Either way i'd be happy to go anywhere!

90% sure Jack Dunne went to camp carolina last year. You should ask him about what the levels they expect. Never heard of sandy hill (no surprise there theres so many of them) but I'm sure you'd have a blast there anyway

She said Sandy Hill were more focused on safety but that they trained you anyways. So paddling skills shouldn't be too difficult.

Yeah that's the one, in Maryland. I've noticed that, it's flat water anyway :D thanks for the help though!
