Re: Club awards 2016/2017

Most improved first year: there's been a great wave of first years this year, which is class to see! I'm gonna go with Frodo for this one, but it's a solid group overall Most improved second year: Laoise for pushing it in freestyle and whitewater Most improved third year: Aoife for competing at Sic...

Re: eff why pee

Definitely the nerdiest kayaking post in a long time. Good job :P Cheers haha! That report was appalling, I don't know why you'd share that. To be fair, I wouldn't expect anything more from a barely-accredited engineering course. That is some cheek, coming back here after all these years! H...

Re: eff why pee

Not too bad man! So you're gonna build a roughly 0.75m circular arc obstruction and plonk it below double drop now are ya? :-P Cheers Staples, sure thing haha, let's send this into the county council and see what happens :-P I hope you got marks taken off for spelling riverbed "rverbed". ...

eff why pee

As some of you may know, my final year project involved modelling a wave for use in freestyle kayaking. So here it is, if case any of you were interested! Lots of theory so you might just want to skip to the results section...if any of this is of interest, it's probably around page 30-34. Also shout...

Re: Canal polo goals

If we take them down at any stage, I think it would make sense to hang the goals just upstream of Wards. There are lamp posts on the river right side, so you could use them to tie the ropes off. And then it'll never get in the way of the rowers. Maybe there is some other issue that I haven't conside...

Re: Pool Session (rolling) 14th Feb

Here's a pretty good video that shows how to roll, if people would like to watch it before the pool it might help! :)
