The Kayak Club is one of the largest university kayak clubs in Ireland. The Club aims to introduce everyone to the sport of kayaking, and caters for every level of skill, from complete beginner to expert paddling.
The NUIG Kayak Club has a reputation for being one of the most social clubs on campus. As well as regular parties and wild nights out in Galway, we run some great trips to Donegal and Lahinch where it’s not so much about the paddling as the partying!
If you enjoy the beginner sessions and want to keep going, make sure to sign up for these. And if you want to get involved in the social scene our website and the forum are great ways to keep up to date with the big nights out. Just come on down to whichever pub we’re in, and if that sounds a bit intimidating you can always get your housemate/best friend/favourite paddling buddy to come with you – the more the merrier. Come join us on the sessions, or just come and enjoy the craic and madness that the Kayak club creates.
